Bio

Alex Cutting has been a member of the Notre Dame London faculty for 25 years. She specializes in socio-cognitive psychology, developmental psychology and human physiology with an emphasis on brain and nervous system functioning. Having conducted research in developmental psychology for many years, she now focuses on teaching and the practical application of both psychology and physiology. She is also a qualified psycho-therapeutic counselor and has worked with adults and young people on a wide range of issues for many years. When she’s not lecturing or counseling, she consults and provides training for businesses and educational establishments, focusing on topics related to mental health & wellbeing, stress and health psychology, and a variety of interpersonal topics. She holds a Masters degree in Natural Sciences (Biological) and a PhD in Developmental Psychology, both from Cambridge University.
