Open to: Students and Notre Dame alumni
The 2019 Alumni Perspectives Lecture will feature Brian G. Donley '86, M.D. reflecting on "Creating a Compassionate Culture."
While healthcare delivery continues to face immense demands across the world, and remains a focus of public discussions in both the UK and the US, the driving force remains the same – providing empathy to those who are suffering. Dr. Brian Donley, Class of ’86 and CEO of Cleveland Clinic London will speak about building a caring culture in healthcare at one of the world’s best healthcare systems.
Brian draws on his early influences at Notre Dame and his professional experiences in numerous leadership roles at Cleveland Clinic in creating environments in which empathy can thrive and how that culture leads to safe quality patient care. After a 98-year history of putting patients first at Cleveland Clinic, Brian discusses the current journey to build Cleveland Clinic London. In forming a culture of compassionate caregivers, Brian leads Cleveland Clinic London’s efforts to learn and innovate with local and international partners in a journey to transform health and care for the world.
