Continuing our Student-Alumni Lecture Series, Claire Elise Stephens (‘13) discusses her experience in the exciting and constantly changing world of live and social media video. What does it look like for publishers and users when more video content is consumed online, when hosting platforms are creating original content, and when live videos give you access to feedback in real time? Claire talks about what it’s like to work in production today when the final product fits in your pocket.

Claire Elise Stephens

Claire Elise Stephens (‘13) is a freelance producer and presenter. She is currently producing and hosting Facebook Live for Guinness World Records, where she is also an official adjudicator. Based in New York, she is social media coordinator for the Notre Dame Club of New York and Notre Dame Women Connect’s NYC chapter.

Her past experience includes her role as digital producer for Larry King’s talk show video website, Ora TV, as well as working on set in New York for music videos, web series, commercials, TV shows, and movies, including Tom McCarthy’s The Cobber(2014) and CMT’s reality dating show Sweet Home Alabama. Claire majored in Film, Television & Theater (FTT) and minored in Journalism.
