An Anchor of Hope: LUP Caritas Anchor House Visit

The London Undergraduate Program is offering a small group of students the chance to visit Caritas Anchor House, a homeless centre in Newham, as part of a series of community engagement activities.

 

Anchor House is an innovative organization that has found new and successful ways to assist the many people in London who find themselves homeless.  Students will have a chance to listen to their award winning Director, as well as Fr. John Armitage, from their board, who can relate some of the centre.  They will also have the chance to meet and listen to some of their guests and learn what life is like for those who struggle to make a life for themselves in the capital.

 

The outing will be followed by an informal dinner to discuss the experience.

 

Students who wish to attend should email Judy Hutchinson by next Thursday, September 18.  Spaces are very limited!
