The University of Notre Dame presents Literature and Science in the Play and Poetry of Giordano Bruno by Alan Powers (author of The Worlds of Giordano Bruno).

Powers was a member of SAA for over twenty years, lead a seminar on Shakespeare and Oral Culture in Seattle, won a paper competition, and published under editors Fran Teague, Jim Andreas, and Jim Schiffer.  In his talk, Powers will recall the Italian Dominicans and Jesuits who have lead the world in many ways, including science.
